Setting the Scene

Returning to Presence: A Conversation with Atma

In a world overflowing with information, noise, and constant stimulation, Atma’s work begins with something deceptively simple: presence.

As the “Soul” pillar of the Mind Body Soul collective, Atma guides individuals back to themselves through practices like Kundalini Yoga, meditation, and ancestral healing. Her work is not about escape or spiritual bypassing, it’s about returning to the moment and rediscovering the intelligence already within the body and nervous system.

Originally drawn to these practices while navigating her own struggles with insomnia and stress, Atma’s journey into healing began as a deeply personal search for balance. After trying conventional approaches without lasting relief, she found that meditation and Kundalini Yoga offered something different: a direct experience of calm within the body.

“Quite quickly, my sleep improved,” she recalls. “But more than that, my whole experience of life changed. I felt more grounded, more alive, and simply more joyful.”

Today, that lived experience forms the foundation of her work with others.

The Emotional Why

“Presence is everything. When we come back to presence, awareness naturally follows. And from awareness, change becomes possible.”

“Kundalini Yoga is called the Yoga of Awareness. Awareness allows us to evolve.”

Origin & Path

The Yoga of Awareness

At the heart of Atma’s practice is Kundalini Yoga, often referred to as the “Yoga of Awareness.” Unlike more fitness-oriented yoga styles, Kundalini integrates breathwork, meditation, sound (mantra), physical movement, and hand positions known as mudras.

Together, these elements create what Atma describes as a “technology for the body, mind, and spirit.” Sessions often begin with breathwork to awaken the body’s energy and regulate the nervous system. From there, participants move through a specific sequence of postures called a kriya, designed to activate particular energy centers and physiological responses.

“It’s very precise,” Atma explains. “These sequences come from an ancient lineage. Each movement, each breath, each mantra serves a purpose.”

The practice typically concludes with deep meditation, allowing the nervous system to integrate the work and settle into stillness. For many participants, the result is subtle but powerful: a sense of calm clarity and renewed vitality.

Healing Across Generations: Beyond yoga and meditation, Atma also facilitates ancestral healing sessions rooted in the methodology of family constellations. This work explores the idea that unresolved experiences and emotional patterns can echo through family systems, influencing present-day behavior in ways we may not consciously understand.

“In family constellations, we explore the energetic relationships within a lineage,” she says. “Sometimes we carry patterns or burdens that belong to earlier generations.”

Through guided exploration and symbolic representation, participants gain insight into these inherited dynamics and begin to restore balance within the system. “At the core, it’s about restoring order and awareness within the family field,” Atma says.

The Subtle Signs of Transformation: “You can feel when someone becomes more present,” she says. “Their energy becomes calmer, more relaxed. They listen differently. They are simply here.”

Because ultimately, the goal of her work is not dependency on a teacher or practice. It’s remembering how to come home to yourself.

“Live from your heart. Live from this moment.”
